Given the new directives from then New Zealand Government on running events and the current COVID-19 global pandemic, we have decided to take this year’s MobileTECH Ag 2020 event online – and run a series of interactive technology events for all our delegates, speakers and sponsors. While it is disappointing for all that we can no longer hold the physical MobileTECH Ag 2020 event in Rotoura next month, we completely understand and support the Government’s policy to protect the health and safety of our delegates – and the country.
This also means that registrations for MobileTECH Ag 2020 are now closed.
MobileTECH Ag 2020 had a strong programme and the event was shaping up to be one of the best. This new webinar series will enable delegates, speakers and sponsors to hear and interact with the extensive agricultural, horticultural and forestry expertise and technologies that were originally planned – from the comfort of their own home or office.
Yesterday’s announcement by New Zealand’s Prime Minister on restricting indoor gatherings to no more than 100 people and the requirement as part of the public health order for “social distancing”, has meant we can no longer run this event in-person. Guidelines from the Ministry of Health, directives from the NZ Government and discussions with many of you over the last week have led us to make this decision.
The COVID-19 global pandemic is unprecedented in recent times and all businesses will need to play their part.
A New Plan for MobileTECH Ag 2020
While the in-person event has been cancelled, we are working on a new plan to help maximise, as much as possible, the wealth of information on offer.
Our plan includes:
- Taking MobileTECH Ag 2020 online. An exciting series of Webinars with key speakers will be held over the course of several weeks. Details on how our delegates can link into these live and on-demand streaming events will be sent out shortly.
- We will also aim to distribute PDF versions of the event presentations from as many of our speakers as possible.
- The conference guidebooks, which include details on all of the presenters, will also be sent to all delegates by post.
If you have any further questions, please come back to us. Thanks again for your understanding on what right now is a very difficult and trying time for us all.
