Graeme Muller is the CEO of NZTech and is passionate about the impact that technology can make to the economy and society. During his tenure, NZTech’s membership has seen phenomenal growth. This includes the establishment of the Tech Alliance, representing 20 of New Zealand’s largest tech associations. Graeme has a 20-year career in technology and business research, management consultancy and marketing across multiple sectors and geographies.
Director Agrifoodtechnology, ILVO
Dr. ir. Jürgen Vangeyte (M), is scientific director at ILVO. ILVO performs multidisciplinary, innovative and independent research aimed at economically, ecologically and socially sustainable agriculture and fisheries in a from farm to fork approach. He manages the research and the technical activities to support the implementation of the research and innovation.
Jurgen works on several large European projects, like IOF2020, Smart Agri Hubs and Cybele. He is a contributor to the “Smart Farming and Food Safety Internet of Things Applications – Challenges for Large Scale Implementations” report and supports an active and mature Digital Innovation Hub, called Smart Digital Farming.

Brendan is CEO of Agritech New Zealand which is a purpose-driven, membership funded organisation whose members share a passion for the opportunities that agritech can generate. Initially trained as a mechanical design engineer, Brendan has been involved in technical, commercial and leadership aspects of product innovation at a senior executive level for several international businesses.
Mike Briers was named in the Knowledge Nation 100 as Australia’s chief evangelist for big data and the internet of things (IoT) and appointed Australia’s first Industry Professor of IoT at UTS. He is the Founding CEO of Food Agility CRC, a co-founding director of Australian AgriTech Association, a co-founder and Director of the Internet of Things Alliance Australia and of the Knowledge Economy Institute.
Mike’s pioneering efforts in fintech and e-research led to the global success of SIRCA and the founding of big data company RoZetta, e-research service provider Intersect Australia, and co-founding of Capital Markets CRC and AgTech business, The Yield.
In 2016 Mike was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday honours roll and was appointed as an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia for his distinguished service to the finance and digital technology sectors.
National Technology Officer
Russell Craig is Microsoft New Zealand’s National Technology Officer (NTO). Based in Wellington, he works with both public and private sector stakeholders on matters related to technology strategy and policy.
In his role, Russell focuses on helping customers understand and realise the broad transformational opportunities enabled by Microsoft’s cloud platform. He also works with policy makers and regulators requiring assurance about cloud services and advanced technologies, drives opportunities for cloud-enabled innovation, and addresses matters related to cybersecurity at both a customer and national level. Russell is currently a board member of the NZ Health IT Industry Association and an Executive Councillor of Digital Identity New Zealand.
NZ Trade Commissioner and Consul-General, UAE, Qatar and the Levant, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise
Based in Dubai, Kevin is responsible for NZTE’s activities across the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the Levant countries of Jordan, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. He was previously New Zealand’s trade commissioner and consul-general in Mumbai, India. Before joining NZTE, he was the executive general manager of the Abu Dhabi-based Transfield International group of companies across the Middle East, India and Asia.
Kevin has been a director of Middle Eastern companies, including Transfield International in Dubai, Transfield-Emdad Services and Intergulf Contracting in Abu Dhabi, and Transfield-Mannai FMS in Qatar. He is a former Wing Commander in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and is a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit. He has a science degree from the University of Otago, and a Master’s and business diploma from Massey University.

Alpha Kennedy is a New Zealand businessman who has been based in the United Arab Emirates since 2011. He is currently the Director Middle East and Africa for Prime Consulting International, which specialises in providing market entry, technical and management business solutions in the Agriculture, Energy and Water sectors, supporting both government and private sector clients in the GCC, Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia and the Pacific.
Alpha’s area of responsibility includes the GCC, Africa and Central Asia, and he has a particular focus on supporting agribusinesses scale in frontier markets by tailoring their offerings to the market conditions, enhancing technical competency and linking them with additional capital.
Chief Executive Officer
David is a leader in commercialising innovation in nascent industries around the globe. He is currently leading a team of technologists in the world of cloud robotics. With a deep technical background in high-load, high-scale cloud platforms, mobile, IoT, and robotics solutions, David is excited about a world where robotics are used for good.

Head of ICT Practices, Vodafone NZ
Glenn is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of Vodafone’s IoT, UC&C, Security, and Cloud Partners practices. He is passionate about developing future solutions and technology that can help businesses and people work the way they want to.
Before Vodafone, Glenn was the CEO of WorldxChange. He has a background in modern communication technologies, financial valuation, commercial contracts, and large acquisitions & capital projects with a Business Degree majoring in Finance. Glenn has also volunteered as a Chairperson and Board member for organisations like Doc Edge and Auckland Coastguard respectively.
Managing Director, Warren’s Insights Ltd + Chair of Pāmu
Warren is Chair of Pāmu (Landcorp Farming Ltd) and the Griffith Enterprise Strategic Advisory Board, Griffith University; and a Director of Farmlands Cooperative, Quayside Holdings, Predator Free 2050 Ltd and Genomics Aotearoa. He was a member of the New Zealand Conservation Authority (NZCA) from 2011 to 2018 including Chair from 2014, and has Chaired the Forestry Ministerial Advisory Group since May 2018.
Warren was the Chief Executive Officer of Scion from 2011- 2017 and Landcare Research from 2005-2011. Earlier, Warren was Chief Operating Officer for AgResearch Science and Professor and Head of the Department of Agribusiness and Resource Management at Massey University. Warren has a MAgrSc (Hons I) in Farm Management and a PhD in Animal Science (Massey), and is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors.
Lynda is the Chief Executive Officer of NZ Young Farmers and has been in the role since October 1st, 2018. Prior to this, she has held a variety of roles across the rural sector with Fonterra, DairyNZ and LIC (previously Livestock Improvement). Most recently she worked for accounting software company MYOB in their Enterprise area where she held leadership roles in Sales and Account Management.
Lynda holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and an MBA from the University of Canterbury and has recently been appointed as Independent Director for the Canterbury Rugby Football Union.

Ben is focused on making sense of digital transformation, connecting silos and simplifying technology decisions for businesses. He specialises in business system design and has a 20 year background in IT and management.

Eitan rejoined CropX in October 2020 to lead the company’s activity in NZ, after having served as the COO between 2016-2019. Eitan has garnered vast executive managerial experience with companies such as AGT International Group, Logic and 3i-Mind, leading successful largescale projects in areas of safe and smart cities, critical infrastructure protection, intelligence and homeland security.
Research Director, PlantTech Research Institute
Ian Yule is an experienced leading researcher with a strong track record of working in higher education conducting industry-relevant research and commercialisation. Ian has spent the bulk of his recent career working on contract research in the areas of precision agriculture, agri-technology and remote sensing; with a particular focus on hyperspectral imaging and image analysis.
Ian has a strong commercial history. He is co-founder of Hyperceptions, a data processing company analysing aerial hyperspectral imaging data to deliver agricultural insights. Ian is also the founder of Stoneleigh Consulting and the former president of the International Society of Precision Agriculture.

Geoff is the Co-founder and engineer behind Pastoral Robotics, has had a career in new product development, including leading the team behind the first vehicle to be certified as an FTP Ultra Low Emission Vehicle.
His products have largely been both productivity and environmentally focused win/win solutions and are widely used in NZ dairy farms. He also held the role of Sector Manager for Agritech at the formation of Callaghan Innovation.

Jonathan is Chief Technology Officer for WayBeyond with more than 20 years of commercial expertise in software and integrated technology solutions for customers.

Jonathan has previously worked as Ventures VP Engineering at EROAD for NZ, Australia and North America and worked in financial services in the Netherlands for eight years.
